Living such a busy lifestyle sometimes it is very difficult to find time for a romantic date with my hubby and believe it or not some days it is also difficult to cook food just for the two of us, so why not use the resources available in the supermarket to prepare healthy and delicious dinner skillets using frozen meals available at my local Walmart supermarket; there I found many choices and options but the one that I selected was Stouffer’s Satisfying Skillets because this brand uses fresh ingredients; you can check my purchase adventure in my Google+ album.
Any romantic dinner needs some wine so I decided to find the best pairing for the Creamy Chicken and Dumplings dinner skillets and at Walmart found they carry many brands and selections so it was easy to find the perfect pairing for our dinner date at home.
For my tablescape decided to go with Fall colors which are our favorite; I placed two candles to have a more romantic ambiance and of course a flower bouquet and wine glasses to finish the setup. My husband even though that helped me shopping the day before he had no clue I was preparing a surprise romantic dinner for two at home. It took me less than 30 minutes to set table and have dinner ready leaving enough time for me to get ready and be pretty for my hubby. When he arrived and saw the flowers and the nice table setup he was very surprised.
We had a lovely dinner talking about life and our dreams. It is just nice to have the time to spend together and strengthen our marriage. Finding products at your local supermarket that can give you a break from the kitchen is very convenient. The taste of this frozen meal was very good and the special company of my husband too!
And to end this fabulous hassle-free dinner we had fresh fruit paired with manchego cheese and quince paste that came in a gift basket from a friend of ours which we enjoyed a lot.
