The holidays call for fabulous drinks that are family friendly like this Minty Lemon Lime Pomegranate Spritzer made with fresh seasonal fruit, citrus and DASANI Sparkling Water.
This sparkling water is the perfect mixer because it has ZERO calories, no added colors, is caffeine-free and naturally flavored.
I found DASANI Sparkling Water at Walmart which is available in various sparkling flavors, including lime, berry, lemon, and black cherry and comes in a convenient twelve pack with cans that have 12 ounces each.
Minty Lemon Lime Pomegranate Spritzer
Ingredients
- 1 cup of ice
- 1 in lime cutrounds
- 1 in lemon cutrounds
- 1 cup of pomegranate jewels
- 4 fresh mint sprigs
- 6 ounces of DASANI Sparkling Water Lime
- 6 ounces of DASANI Sparkling Water Lemon
- 4 ounces tall glasses 12each
- 4 festive straws
Instructions
- In a tall glass add ice, then place one slice of lime and one slice of lemon.
- Add 1 tablespoon of pomegranate jewels
- Pour 6 ounces of DASANI Sparkling Water Lime, then add 6 ounces of DASANI Sparkling Water Lemon
- Garnish with fresh mint and add a festive straw
Notes
For a more intense flavor you can use a muddler to crush the fruit with the citrus and the mint
Everyone knows I love to entertain at home and during the holidays we host several parties and like to offer variety in the drinks we serve including mocktails and fun spritzers that can be enjoyed by everyone but without adding calories or sugars.
In my latino culture we enjoy citrus flavors so I decided to use two of the DASANI Sparkling Water flavors: lemon and lime. Both pair very nicely with fresh pomegranate, that coincidentally it is also in season. And to add additional freshness I cut some mint from my herb garden which resulted in a refreshing and festive Minty Lemon Lime Pomegranate Spritzer.
At a local store in my area I found fun straws with holidays motifs to add more color and personality to this fun mocktail, plus I am using vintage glasses from the 50’s that I inherited from my mother in law.
I love this glasses, they are festive and also have a lot of history. My mother in law bought them in New York at an antique store. Coincidentally those glasses also were her first big purchase after arriving to the US from Cuba. I think that serving beverages in glasses that have so many memories is a great way to introduce your guests to your family heirlooms while cheering in this joyous time that are the holidays.
