Once again this year I am honored to be Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation® Orlando Brand Ambassador by promoting this amazing event to help our community and avoid childhood hunger. In exchange for my participation I received two discounted price tickets to enjoy the dining soiree.
Childhood hunger is a serious matter and we can all hold hands and help our community against childhood hunger by attending this year’s Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation® Orlando on August 9th. This event is a one of it’s kind where over thirty local restaurants and the Orlando community unite to benefit two local charities that I personally support via volunteer activities and help with fundraising and awareness of the several events they organize each year to help our community this is Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida and Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida.
This year Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation® Orlando will have a special guest: Food Network star and host of Ten Dollar Dinners Melissa d’Arabian who is joining forces with our community and the restauranteurs to help avoid childhood hunger in the Central Florida area.
Taste of the Nation is also very well known by the wonderful food and wine that is served during the event and this year without a doubt will be a wonderful showcase of great food brought to you by few of my favorite restaurants, such as Bosphorous Turkish Cuisine, The Capital Grille, Cress Restaurant, Eddie V’s, K Restaurant, Emeril’s Tchoup Chop, Crimson Tavern and many more.
Last year’s event raised over $245K in support of Coalition for the Homeless and Second Harvest Food Bank, with your help we can make the difference and end childhood hunger
15.7% of the Central Florida population is food insecure. That’s nearly 551,500 people in Brevard, Lake, Marion, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, and Volusia County. (Via Feeding America Map the Meals).
